Emma Wagner is an English teacher here at BWHS, but would you ever have thought of her majoring in Vocal Performance? Wagner knew she wanted to be a teacher from a very young age but went to college for vocal performance for her first 2 years but than finished off college with her majoring to become an english teacher. Wagner went to college at JMU and graduated at UVA with a degree in teaching. Wagner was also in a acapella group in JMU called Note-oriety. Note-oriety was very big to Wagner. She says that she met her fiance through acapella and great friends through Note-oriety and some will be her bridesmaids next year! Wagner knew she wanted to join Note-oriety after hearing their song “Pretty Hurts” by beyonce in high school. And she ended up joining the group in her freshman year at JMU.
