“The haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate” this album.
There is a lot of controversy surrounding this album. Overall, this reviews is not a fan. While I do like, Opalite, The Fate of Ophelia, and Elizabeth Taylor. The lyrics come across as out of date. Scrolling on TikTok, you can find many disappointed listeners citing that it is not the music that’s bad, it’s the lyrics.
Non-Swifities are also saying that “you can tell her new album is bad because when you say it’s bad, you aren’t automatically attacked by Swifties because they also agree.” But this isn’t the first time Swift has gotten this controversy. Many did not like the album because they ““miss the old Taylor, the Taylor who wrote the best breakup albums.””
Overall, The Life of a Showgirl has sparked strong reactions across the world and whether or not they loved or hated the album, Swift continues to keep the world talking.
