Paris Fashion Week is one of the most prestigious events in the fashion industry, beginning March 3-11.  Top designers have gathered to present the latest fashion and trends to the world.  Luxury brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Balenciaga, Hermes, YSL and many more high end brands have presented their newest looks.

Freshman Vanshika Durvasula says “I really enjoy expressing myself through fashion. I walk into school trying to make a statement everyday whether I’m in sweats or a cute top and jeans.

With venues ranging from iconic landmarks to chic and modern designs, the atmosphere during Paris Fashion Week is exotic. Each show is created differently, with different lighting designs and overall presentations, all set to mesmerize the audience. Designers often draw inspiration from art, culture, and even personal experiences, resulting in collections that are not only visually appealing but also rich in storytelling. In addition to the runway shows Paris Fashion Week is a show for street style with models showcasing their new unique looks outside the venues.

This event also serves as a networking opportunity where designers can connect with buyers from all over.  Freshman Laney Perry says “I feel like I connect with people who are into fashion and designs”

Social media plays a big role in Paris Fashion Week allowing fans worldwide to experience the glamour and innovation of the event in real time. Overall Paris Fashion Week remains as one of the most famous ways to showcase new fashion trends.

Freshman Allie Bowen says “I really enjoyed watching the runway models wear new designs no one has seen before, it was really an eye opener for me and for the future.”
