Aaron Rodgers has been a hot topic for a while now, with many still wondering where he’ll end up. For the time being, it has been said that he is waiting it out, trying to see what the best offers will be. Originally, there were three main teams interested in adding Rodgers as a starting quarterback. However, the Vikings, who were rumored to have been Rodgers’ top choice, have since chosen to not pursue Rodgers at this time. This leaves two teams in the running: the Giants and the Steelers.
The wait for the Steelers and Giants may end up being drawn out longer than they expect, as Rodgers is seemingly in no hurry to decide which uniform he will don in the upcoming 2025 season. The question that remains is how long can these teams wait before they move forward with their own plans?
According to Mike Florio with NBC Sports, “[The Giants] desperately need someone, [while] the Steelers seem to be in better position to let it ride through the draft than the Giants.” The NFL draft, coming up on Apr. 24-26, may be too long for the Giants to wait, as Florio continued by saying, “it’s more imperative for the Giants, who currently have one quarterback on the roster.”
Regardless of the current situation, news of where Rodgers signs will likely be known by the time the draft starts.
