Taylor Swift’s European tour came to an end on August 20, 2024, but her reputation continues to expand worldwide. As a result of the tour more than half of the United States, and likely many global fans, claim they are Swifties, evidenced by the many adults and teenagers who are now expressing their “Taylor Era,” according to American Songwriter.
The European leg of the tour wound through countries like England, Paris, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland – to name a few. Many fans believe that London is Swift’s favorite place to tour. While in London, Swift was able to have indie rock band Florence and the Machine to sing “Florida!!!” live on stage.
Swift officially returns to tour the states on October 18 at Hard Rock Stadium located in Miami, Florida. Rock band Paramore has officially retired from being the openers of the Eras Tour and now Swift will introduce a new opener, Gracie Abrams, who has recently gone viral for her new album “The Secret of Us.”
Charlotte Manthos is a sophomore and has been a Swiftie since 2016. Manthos attended the Hamburg, Germany tour and she thought it “was a really great show.”
Manthos claims she is “in my [her] Red era.” One of her favorite songs by Swift in that album is “The Last Time,” it was one of the surprise songs [Taylor played].”
Until that time comes, the Swifties are getting ready to fill the stands for the final United States leg of the tour. They are preparing by creating friendship bracelets, creating their outfits and ready to sing along to Swift’s greatest hits.
