With 370 gyms, Burn Boot Camp (BBC) Ashburn has gained over 500 members with 121 reviews creating a positive environment for anyone wanting to meet their fitness goals.
Kerry Brophy is one of 8 trainers graduating with an Exercise Science degree. Brophy even holds the position of head trainer at Burn Boot Camp Ashburn.
Getting introduced to BBC from a neighbor, Brophy fell in love with the environment instantly. “I left the corporate world and was looking for something different, I just happened to go with a neighbor to Burn and I just fell in love with it right away. I knew that was the place I wanted to work.”
Additionally, “Within 6 months I got my certification to train and then [I] started working there.”
Brophy states that she has “always loved fitness, I always thought that I wanted to do something like this [training].”
BBC was founded in 2012 by a husband-wife duo making Burn Boot Camp creating a positive workspace for their employees and clients.
Brophy shares that they made an impact on her by giving her advice to remember to be “patient, everybody’s goals are different, everybody learns in different ways, how to deal with different personalities.”
Furthermore, “patience is probably the one thing when working with people who are struggling or have struggled with something their whole life. That’s probably the most I’ve learned.”
Without hesitation, Brophy’s favorite part about her job is “the people, I love the people, I meet so many new people everyday and it’s such a great community that we have and it’s been such a positive influence on my life. The people make it so much fun.”
The most rewarding in training for Brophy is “seeing someone do something that they said they can never do, that’s been the most rewarding and seeing someone who has doubted themselves or maybe wasn’t in a good place and the gym whether it’s the community that brought them together or them working out it just made them feel better stronger, more independent that’s been really cool to be apart of to see them be a lot less timid or come out of their shells and becoming more confident.”
Brophy has a really strong relationship with her fellow trainers stating that their “training team is awesome, I have 8 trainers and we all work together and collaborate all the time. They’re so much fun, they teach me a lot and I love working with them, it’s something that also makes my job more fun, our team on how much love and respect that we have for each other.”
Brophy feels “honored” that she is head trainer. “I feel very honored to be head trainer, I really believe in Burn, I believe in the people that go there and the fact that they would allow me to lead and help them is one of the greatest experiences I’ve had in my work life.”
Burn Boot Camp Ashburn is a great community bringing people closer together and creating a stronger community whether you are training or working out. You will not regret walking through those doors and feeling the energy in the building!
